The pattern named after a Cuban lady is special by its dynamic and diverse moves. Juana la Cubana starts with a sombrero and continues with side to side motion when the partners can look into each other’s eyes.
A rueda is a circle of dancers. The dancing pairs are led by a caller, who 'calls' the moves in order for everyone to execute them at the same time. Many moves have hand signs to complete the call (very useful in noisy venues).
A simple and lively cuban pattern starting with a sombrero. In the rest of La Montagna, the partners switch places while never losing the grip on both hands.
Having fun while dancing with two ladies can be pretty problematic for any salsa dancer. Why is that? Because both ladies should receive the same amount of attention and leading.
